Red Oak is still the most popular wood for flooring. This North American tradition is strong, hard, and relatively moisture stable.
Red Oak Mesa Grade
Our Mesa grade Red Oak will contain color variation, knots up to 2” in diameter (including open knots), holes up to 3/4” in diameter, cracks that don’t compromise the integrity of the flooring, grub holes of any size, along with other character marks. The grub holes can be fairly long, deep grooves, typically 3/8” to ½” wide, and about 3” long. We do allow edge defect in this grade. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with an average of 5’.
Red Oak Casa Grade
In Casa grade, our Red Oak will contain color variation and knots up to 1-1/2” in diameter, along with other occasional character marks. Small open holes up to 1/4” in diameter are also allowed. We do not allow any edge defect. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with an average of about 5’.
Red Oak Hacienda Grade
Red oak is also available in our premier Hacienda grade.
