Red Oak is still the most popular wood for flooring.  This traditional North American floor is strong, hard, and relatively moisture stable.

Red Oak Mesa Grade

Our Mesa grade Red Oak will contain color variation, knots up to 2” in diameter (including open knots), holes up to 3/4” in diameter, cracks that don’t compromise the integrity of the flooring, grub holes of any size, along with other character marks. The grub holes can be fairly long, deep grooves, typically 3/8” to ½” wide, and about 3” long. We do allow edge defect in this grade. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with an average of 5’.


Red Oak Casa Grade

In Casa grade, our Red Oak will contain color variation and knots up to 1-1/2” in diameter, along with other occasional character marks. Small open holes up to 1/4” in diameter are also allowed. We do not allow any edge defect. Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’, with an average of 5’.

Red Oak Hacienda Grade

Rec Oak Hacienda Hardwood Flooring DetailIn Hacienda grade, our Red Oak will contain less color variation than seen in Casa grade and occasional small pin knots up to 3/16” diameter.  We do not allow edge defect in Hacienda.  Lengths of planks vary from 1’ to 10’ with a 5’ average.
